Some yunomi from a few different firings. First one was in a wood soda, second was gas soda, third was just wood and fourth was a gas soda firing. All were b mix clay and the same rutile slip. I love all the different colors and surfaces.

Hey y’all I am teaching soda fire class @thepottersstudio. We will make work on the wheel learn about slips and glazes and go over a verity of wadding approaches. If you have ever been interested in learning more about out atmospheric firing this is it.
I am often asked if I teach local workshops on soda firing and to be honest no I don’t. So this a nice opportunity. It is a 12 week class runs on Fridays from 10-1pm. There is still space available!

I am teaching a pottery wheel soda firing class @thepottersstudio it’s a 12 week class centered on making work for a gas soda firing. I’ll demo on the wheel, talk about slips/glazes, and discuss loading and firing thoughts. Gunna be exciting!
